Welcome to Precepts Digital. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Precepts Digital website and mobile application (the “Service”), operated by Precepts Digital (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. License and Access

Precepts Digital grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from the Service without our express written permission.

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content from the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Impersonate any person or entity

2. Intellectual Property

All content available through the Service — including text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, lesson materials, and software — is the property of Precepts Digital or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Precepts for Living® name and associated marks are registered trademarks of Precepts Digital

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Users under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to create an account or use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Access to premium content requires an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our third-party payment provider. You authorize us to charge the payment method on file for all applicable fees.

  • Free trial: New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
  • Price changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. You will be notified of any price changes before your next billing cycle.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use the Service in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not use the Service to transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Precepts Digital. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Precepts Digital does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Precepts Digital disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Precepts Digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Precepts Digital in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or one hundred dollars ($100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Precepts Digital, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or any applicable law.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
